The Wages Of Complaining

Complainers don*t know or remember how much God loves them, or they don*t know or remember that He is sovereign over every detail of their lives, even the things they complain about.

Lamentations 3:39: Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

Everything God permits in the lives of unbelievers is intended to bring them to faith. Everything He permits in the lives of sinning Christians is intended to bring them back into fellowship. Everything He permits in the lives of faithful Christians is intended to work for their good. Nothing to complain about for anyone.

Numbers 11:1: And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

Numbers 14:29: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

Deuteronomy 1:27: And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

Jude 1:15-16: To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men*s persons in admiration because of advantage.

Sometimes individuals would rather have something to complain about than have the problem solved. We should pray to God about our complaints before we complain to mortal men. Since God is in charge of everything, complaining is always against Him.
